What makes up the price
The ex-works price is what it costs to get the veneer out of our mill in Udmurtia: logs, peeling, drying, grading, packing, and loading onto our own rail siding. There is no trader’s margin — we are the producer.
Two further items build up to the CIF figure:
Freight, which runs between 55 and 305 USD per m³ depending on the route. The spread comes from the mode of transport, not from service level — all of it is laid out in the table below.
Import charges in the destination country. For HS 4408.90 in Turkey the customs duty is most likely 0% (Turkey applies the EU Common Customs Tariff on industrial goods), VAT is 20%, and deferred payment adds a 6% KKDF levy. None of this is included in our price; it is paid by the buyer.

Order size and price
The list price does not move with volume, because the real saving is in logistics rather than in the mill price. Load a railcar instead of a container and freight per m³ falls; go past 2,000 m³ and the river-sea route opens up, taking freight down to about 85 USD/m³. In other words, scale pays you back through transport, not through a discount.
That is why the first thing we ask is not what discount you want but what your annual volume and delivery rhythm are — the route can only be chosen correctly after that.
